Death in a GallerySpring Bank Arts are delighted to welcome the 'Shot in the dark' theatre company, to perform their 'Halloween Theme' Murder Mysteries performed around and between a three course dinner for their audience.


Shot in the dark are the UK's most fun, entertaining and professional Murder Mystery Company - an innovative blend of the writing of renowned professional playwright John Waterhouse (Casagua Productions), and the talented actor/director David Samuels (Nuts & Bolts Theatre Company), along with an accomplished and experienced cast.


The audience, diners, guests, amateur sleuths, call yourself what you will, are encouraged to play your part in solving this Murder Mystery by being the detectives who deduce whodunnit. It is preferred that everyone dresses with a Halloween theme to fit with the evening, with a prize for the best costume.


The evening will involve a 3 course meal, and after each course scenes from the Murder Mystery are acted out between the tables ensuring everyone gets an insight to the clues on offer. This entertaining evening of good food and humour is open to all, and seating will be based on tables of 6-9 people. Groups who wish to sit together should declare so when buying your tickets, and best endeavours will be made to accommodate this. Catering provided by CupnCake from Chapel-en-le-Frith, and dietary requirements (like vegetarian or any allergies), along with seating preferences need to be declared in advance by emailing This email address is being protected from spambots. Tickets are £20.00 per person and need to be paid in advance, though pre-payment reservations can be made online at (there's a £1.15 Eventbrite surcharge per ticket if paying online via Eventbrite). Tickets can be paid for in person by arrangement from Spring Banks Arts Centre, Spring Bank, New Mills, Derbyshire, SK22 4BH (Tel: 01663 308202). As numbers are limited and catering needs to be arranged in advance, unfortunately there are no turn up on the night places available. Please arrive around 7pm as the show will start at 7:30pm prompt. There is ample parking in the Adult Education Centre car park, at the side Spring Bank Arts, though if drivers are planning on drinking then taxis are advised - High Peak Taxis (01663 744 448) from New Mills have been very helpful in the past.
